val the wildling.

val the wildling.

that gives me dalla feels idk :(

now that you mention it it definitely does for me too.

like idk (on the subject of Dalla’s death and everything) I really just hate how people just don’t take val seriously. i mean it’s not so bad here as much as other places but like they either treat her like a joke who’s just there to be hot and tease jon or are like “oh he better not end up with her” for no reason other than the fact she’s too basic or perfect or plain or ~archetypal warrior princess~ or s/t

like ?????

she actually lost everything (literally on par with jon if not much more)

like her sister is dead, her lover (forget his name) was fucking impaled by a tree, i highly doubt if she has any other family she’s going to see them again, and the people who the southerners call her the princess of are starving to death and dying in MASSIVE numbers and she cant do anything to stop it because she’s basically being held prisoner by people who have next to no idea what wildlings even are

"Val stood beside him, tall and fair. They had crowned her with a simple circlet of dark bronze, yet she looked more regal in bronze than Stannis did in gold. Her eyes were grey and fearless, unflinching. Beneath an ermine cloak, she wore white and gold. Her honey blond hair had been done up in a thick braid that hung over her right shoulder to her waist. The chill air had put a color in her cheeks."

ASOIAF Challenge: Favorite Wildling » Val the Wildling Princess

She looks lonely, Jon thought. Lonely, and lovely. Ygritte had been pretty in her own way, with her red hair kissed by fire, but it was her smile that made her face come alive. Val did not need to smile; she would have turned men’s heads in any court in the wide world. All the same, the wildling princess was not beloved of her gaolers. She scorned them all as “kneelers,” and had thrice attempted to escape. When one man-at-arms grew careless in her presence she had snatched his dagger from its sheath and stabbed him in the neck. Another inch to the left and he might have died. Lonely and lovely and lethal.
